A series of low key local events on a Saturday morning, in and around Newcastle and North Tyneside, with a league to encourage participation and competition. Courses suitable for beginners (advice will be available) and the more experienced wanting some training competition.

Maps ands Controls
Sites will be marked with a red tape marker secured with a clothes peg. Markers will have a code letter in permanent marker to be written on the control card. Carry a pen.

100 points for the winner of each course, 99 for second, 98 for third etc. Anyone running in a course above their class will get a bonus of 5 points (10 for 2 courses above) and, likewise, anyone running a course below their class will be docked 5 points (10 for 2 courses below).

Schalksmuhle Road in Bedlington runs parallel to the main Front Street. Hassop Way turns off between Morrisons & Police HQ (see map link above)
Bus: Mainly X21/X22 Newcastle Haymarket > Regent Centre > BEDLINGTON RED LION (Front Street West) > Ashington. Walk half a mile. Services also from Blyth & Morpeth.
NOTE: Public open land. Dogs and various kinds of bike likely.
A whistle should be carried. A cagoule should be worn if weather is bad.

Feb. 3rdPrudhoe (Waterworld) NE42 5DQ-----
 From A695 Gateshead to Hexham Road enter Prudhoe at the east end (B6395) and look out on the left for the pool. Use east end of car park.  
 Bus 10 (Eldon Sq > Hexham) or 10B (Eldon Sq > Low Prudhoe). Rail involves a long, steep climb.
