Signed from old A1 south of Stannington on northbound A1 onslip.
From the South leave at A19/A1 and follow the old road past Services and Holiday Inn for approx 3km to the next junction onslip, at the very beginning of this turn left into the estate.
From the North leave A1 signed Ponteland, cross above A1 and immediately right onto the onslip, again immediately left into the estate.
Take care as missing this entrance involves a lengthy correcting movement partly on one way roads.

Terrain: Mixed woodland and farmland, bounded by a steep sided river valley. Generally runnable but with some patches of rhododendrons in the woodland. All fences bounding fields have been shown as uncrossable. Even though they look physically crossable thet are only to be crossed at gates, stiles or other marked crossing points.

Format: A series of events held across Tyneside and Northumberland over the winter. The Night Owls trophies (Open, Women's, Junior and Veterans') will be awarded at the end of the series based on an individual's average point score across the series (best 3 out of 6 scores to count)
