Pandemic: This event will be conducted with regard to Government and British Orienteering guidelines in force at the time. Participation is conditional upon accepting the code of conduct for participants. It is important that you refer to the full document.
Note in particular:- Do not attend if showing Covid-19 symptoms or are isolating or in quarantine.
- Arrive reasonably close to your allocated start slot.
- Respect Social Distancing at all times. Be particularly careful at the start, download and narrow pinch points.
- Please use hand sanitiser available at Start and Download.

Travel: Signed into the Ranch (Links) Car Park on A193 Seaton Sluice to Blyth ~ NZ325779. Note: This road takes fast traffic. Northbound entry to the car park is via a short unprotected centre turning lane. Consider driving on for a U-turn at South Beach roundabout. Bus 308 (Arriva) / 309 (GoNE) Newcastle – Blyth both via Whitley Bay. Return tickets not interchangeable. X7 Arriva) Newcastle – Blyth via S. Gosforth. On all services book to Astley Arms, Seaton Sluice which is much closer to assembly than the car entrance and has a lighted crossing by the pub. Eve Black Way cycle path (National Route 1).
Parking: Entering the car park, immediately turn right and follow the long (600 m.) gravel surface towards Seaton Sluice. Do not use the pub car park which has a charge.
Entry: Online Pre entry only via SiEntries. Entries open Thursday 24th September and close Sunday 18th October. Seniors (M/W21+): £6.00 Juniors (M/W20-): £2.00
Starts: Allocated 15 minute time slots between 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Please go direct to the start. This window may vary according to demand and guidance at the time. Please check the entry site for availability.
Punching: SPORTident electronic for start/finish only. Please bring your own pen to record controls round the course on the control card integral with the map. No dibber loan on the day. For long term advance loan by post until the year end @ £5. Apply with your pre entry. Dibbers are available for purchase from £29 upwards from SPORTident
Courses: White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green, Short Green, Green and Blue
